algae problem

I had some red algae growing on the sand in my tank before I did a water change. One Day after the water change it has come back as bad as it was before the water change. Any ideas on what to do for that?

I had the same problem when I transfered my 20 gallon tank into my current 110 gallon tank. I bought a larger skimmer and made sure my calcium levels where above 400. I also bought about 20 small red scarlet crabs and within a week it all disappeared.
