aerinah 125g Reef system

Hi all,

Here's all the information that I can think of on my system.

Our system is currently a 135 gallon Acrylic reef tank (6'x21"x21")
15g sump with sock filtration
an in-line protein skimmer (sorry don't remember brand at the moment)
A Turbo Twist 6x 18watt UV Sterilizer
Odessa Powerhead for added circulation (350gph I think)

Lighting: 4-6' VHO lightbulbs alternating Atini/10k bulbs
Custom made hood with fan for keeping lights cool
(room for MH provided I can talk my fiancee into them later) lol

Usual water perameters are as follows:
Salinity 1.025
Temp 75-80 degrees
PH 8.2-8.4
Nitrites 0 ppm
Nitrates 10ppm
Ammonia .25ppm

I do a 60% water-change roughly 1 time per month

Our coral inventory is as follows: many different zooanthid colonies, button polyps, pulsing zenia, brain coral, hammer coral (frog spawn), flower pot - pink (not really sure what it is), 3-4 different types of green star polyps, Green and red mushrooms, 1 long-tentacle anemone, 1 green bubble-tip anemone, and 3 or 4 mystery corals in our tank. Just sold my Ritteri anemone about 2 weeks ago - was healthy just got too large for my tank.

My substrate is a 3-4" gravel bottom, fairly small grained but not sand by any means.

Our invertibrate inventory is as follows: 2 cleaner shrimps, 1 urchin, 2 linkia star fish, 1 horse-shoe crab, 1 conch snail, margarita snails (many), bumble-bee snails (4-5), turbo snails (many), 1 Porcelain/anemone crab, blue-legged hermit crabs (10 or so), emerald crabs (1 male 2-3 females), and I think that's it...

Our fish inventory is as follows: 2 Mandarin Gobies (1 male, 1 female), 1 Blue-Lined Cleaner Wrasse, 1 Garden Eel, 2 Bartlet's Anthias (currently both female), 2 Green Chromis, 1 Regal Tang (aka Dori), 1 Royal Grammas (aka Gurgle), 1 Leopard Wrasse (female I believe from descriptions), 2 Oscelarus Clown fish, 1 Dragon Goby, 2 Purple Fire-fish, 1 Orange-spotted Shrimp Goby, and my Red Coris/Coris Wrasse.

(will continue updating this as I can)

Welcome to TRT

Sounds like a nice set-up.

With the lagre number of livestock in your tank bi-monthly water changes may lower tne nitrates.

You can check out the section on ligthing for good ideas.
