As far as the lighting goes i can't help much there as I haven't bothered to educate myself about them cause I don't plan on upgrading from my T5's anytime soon.
As far as the sump, you can make it work if you really don't want to spend any extra cash "re-purchasing" equipment you already own. I have the same exact sump as you and after a year and a half I decided to ditch the bio balls and go with a filter sock.
Purchased that skimmer and it fits, although a little tight. It's probably not the best but it works for me and I have nothing bad to say about it.
One thing I would add is some type of powerhead to provide flow throughout the tank. I suppose what you intend to keep will dictate how much flow you want. I started with a korillia powerhead, then upgraded to 1 vortech MP-10, then added another. I'm a big fan of the MP-10 and if you intend to keep corals, they will appreciate it.
The more experienced will be able to give you better opinions, I just wanted to let you know that you can use the sump (with a little modification) and be successful.
