4RD TEK'S Tank

Our tank was setup in March 2004, and it is a 160 gallon (72x18x32) acrylic on a diy stand faced off with stained oak hardwood. The diy canopy houses 3-400 watt MH's with 10k Ushio's driven by Coralvue e-ballasts, with 2- 160 watt Actinic VHO's driven by an Ice-Cap 660. The lighing is programmed to turn actinics on @ 11am. The first MH turns on @ 12:30 followed by the next in 1/2hr increments to simulate sunrise. The first MH turns off @ 9:30, again in 1/2hr increments to simulate sundown. The Actinics turn off @ 11:30pm.
Flow is provided in the tank by a closed loop system feeding 8- 1" pipes that feed through bulkheads at the rear if the tank. Flow is provided by a Dolphin Ampmaster 3000 that feeds an Oceansmotions flow diversion device.

We have about 180lbs of LR and a 3"substrate comprised of 70% arogonite sand /30% crushed coral....for now. I am going to remove the cc.

The tank drains into a sump/refugium (80 gal) located in the basement, where our other equipment is also located. As for the equipment...

Aqua C EV-240 driven by a Mag 1200
Diy Ca reactor that hold's 5 containers of CaribSea A.R.M. using a mag 5 pump for recirculation, and a mini-jet 606 for supply.
Pacific Coast CL-650 1/4 hp chiller ran by a mag 9.5
Dolphin SuperAmpMaster 5600 return pump (way to powerfull for our needs)

As for inhabitants...
20 Nassarius snails
150 varius other snails that include Trocus/Astrea's/Cerinths & Margarita's
1 Naso Tang 5"
1 Hippo Tang 4"
5 Chromis
1 Lawnmower Blenny
2 Skunk Cleaner shrimps
1 Tuxedo Urchin
