Yeah, I got some new coral frags in this week and really have a lot of fragging that needs to be done as well.
Oh Jeremy, where are you when we need you to get us out of this?

Wow, I go to Mexico for a week and my thread turns into man-hug central
I'm hoping when i get back the pump will be in so I can start getting this rolling. THere is only so much I can plan on paper and with pictures. I am a hands on kind of guy that feels better looking at the actual materials that will be used

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

That definitely sounds like a good excuse for moving this project to slo mo mode.
Best of luck with the exams.

It never gets out of slo mo mode I was hoping to get the pump before I left. At least if I get some of the parts I can work on it when I need a break. I need to check out the 1 inch hole saw from the local club.

More delays... My central Air just died and it may be as much as 1700 bucks to get a new one that could delay the project a couple of months

Compressor locked up, it is 8 years old so it is not really worth fixing. We just spent all our mad money on our honeymoon, something we NEVER do. If we can find a refurb w/ a warranty we can get it done for 800, either way it is going to take some time.

Been there done that, had a large replacement bill for my 10 year old unit and also lost a lot of livestock in the process. This brings back a lot of bad memories.

apparently they have not even placed a dry goods order since I first asked about it. They said they would order it like 6 or 8 weeks ago. I quit talking to the owner's wife and talked to the guy that actually orders stuff, Josh. He is a cool guy I have swapped frags with a few times. he said he will look at the inventory and see when they will be ordering again. I like to buy local but if it is going to be too much longer I may just get it online. When I went in to ask about it, the guy that looked up the status had never heard of Eheim but offered me a good deal on a Mag drive or rio.
If this pump was not going to sit 2 feet from where I watch TV in an open stand I may be willing to deal with a louder pump.

I think it is tiem to give up on the LFS and order a pump online. I think I may order from premium aquatics. My waterchange pump burnt up and I need something to replace it. I am thinking of turning my ancient Hagen 402 ph into my w/c pump and getting a K3 to replace it and maybe a MJ mod for my MJ 400 as a flow pump.

Don't try an octopus without a locking cover! They should be in a species-only tank (only one) and they need plenty of room, rubber toys, live mollusks and filtration. They are smart, hungry fellows. Difficult to keep...
