A little back story on this tank. My wife has had this tank in her house since I have known her, 10+ years now! It has been sitting in two different garages for 4-5 years. I decided to get rid of it but before I did that I fill it full of water just to see if it would leak. It did not leak so it got me thinking.

It has a really ugly wrought iron stand which my wife would not let me use. The tank has an odd size and most LFS didn't have a stand that would work unless I got a wrought iron one. Well I was thinking I would just make a stand. I really like the look of the low stands so thats what I was planning on making. My wife said why don't you just use that old coffee table. I told her there was no way a coffee table was going to hold that tank full of water. She told me to stand on it and see if it would hold my weight. Now I weigh over 300 lbs. I wasn't to excited to have something break under my weight. I climbed on and it didn't even wiggle. I then had her climb on and it still held! My son walks in and wants to stand on the table too. Too bad I didn't have a picture of the crazy coffee table family.

So that is that is the story of the old new 30 gallon. Now for the pictures.
