2 tanks in 1??

I'm new to this whole forum thing better I would like some input so here it goes.
Im building a bar in my basement, I have one 125 gal tank that i want to put in the bar and I would like to add another 150 gal in the wall behind this tank and run them in series or use the same filtering equipment. Does this count as the more volume the better? The filter equipment would be located 8ft from the closest tank (the in-wall) and 12 ft from the far (the in-bar). Im open to equipment ideas and plumbing sizes required to run a tank this size. Right now I just have equipment to the one 125 gal.

first picture is of the in-bar tank and the in-wall tank with a raised floor inbetween.
2nd picture is a straight on of the in-wall tank stand and the bathroom behind and then the utility room where the filter tanks would go.
the 3rd picture is the entry way into the bathroom where the piping would go across the floor. Half the bathroom floor would be raised with 2x6's for the piping of the tanks, toilet and shower.

So you are wanting to do two seperate tanks with one common sump? This will work just keep in mind make the sump really big. Becuase if you lose power the back flow from the pipes and so on will in crease the water level in the sump. The last think you want is to have the sump over flow.

i was thinking of using a 2" line to and from the sump then breaking off into a 1 1/4" going to each tank. not sure on the pump yet, does this sound like a big enough pipe for adequete water flow? On the in bar tank, i have two overflows in the back with two intake and return lines. On the in wall tank, i will probably have similiar but haven't done anything to that tank yet. And the overflows would probably be in the ends of the tank instead of the back.
