You could try but I doubt it. Does any of the paperwork tell what it is as far as wattage? It may be on the bulb also.

K I bought a new light today, I found out any 18 inch light will fit in my tank hoods lighting fixture.
I got a coralife 10,000k 15 watt

Thnx, im getting liverock tomorrow!!!!! then the curing process begins. and my brother gave my sister his 55 so shes starting a 55g saltwater/reef tank. So ill have pics of both tanks as they progress.

Local aquarium stores usually sell it for around 35-50 cents a gallon, depending on what part of the country you live in. If you can't find one that sells RO/DI water, you can get Distilled water at Walmart for 72 cents a gallon. Just don't get water out of any of the machines in any of the stores. They aren't DI (just RO) and generally a bad buy on water.
You can get a 150gpd RO/DI unit for under 100 dollars shipped to you. It only takes 200 gallons of water to pay for itself.

Some leave the lights on, some don't. Personally, I leave them on. You can attach pics. Click the Go Advanced button and scroll down to "Manage Attachments".
