New LFS in Tacoma

I just wanted to let everyone know that there's a new store in Tacoma that's exclusively saltwater/reef. The place is called Indoor Reef and I think it has some real potential. They currently have 4 ~100G tanks (more coming) for corals and 8 tanks for fish (more coming). They’ve definitely spent the money on lighting. Over each coral tank is dual 400W MH and dual 110W VHO (may have been PC) and PC lighting over all the fish tanks. They don’t have a huge selection right now, but all the corals looked pretty healthy. I was talking to the owners (Nick & Tim) and they have plans for a clam tank with a front glass that curved inward so you can look down on the clams. He’s going to put a 1000W MH over that tank.

Stop by and check them out if you get a chance.

I planted the seed today. I'll swing by in a couple of weeks and see how things are working out for them.

I stopped in there on monday. He has a great set up, i would wait a month though he is still setting up and you will probably be dissapointed with the stock. His claim to fame right now is having the best live rock curing tanks in the Pacific north west.\

BTW the owners name is Tim. Pretty friendly guy. Very knoledgeable but a bit on the eccentric side.

the stock's a bit better today than last time i was there (and i just mean that there's more of it). the workers are very friendly, and i've never seen such fat, happy, colorful mandarins! the back room is impressive. they have skimmers taller than i am. i think it's a nice little store with awesome potential!! nice to have something locally round here!

Can you feel the envy radiating from me? We have nothing like that by me... I have to drive all the way to the Seattle area from Oak Harbor. Sheesh.

Congrats and what looks ike the start of a nice LFS in your area!
