Use 55W to sub for 65W

Hi everyone,
I have a light hood that store 2x 65W lights. One of them goes bad. Can I use 55W to replace the bad one?

If it is a CSL or similar fixture that uses workhorse ballasts then yes you can. That's what I did on my 20L.

My ballasts are rated for 64w yet CSL ran 65w bulbs. I replaced the 65w with 55w also because there are more bulb options with the 55w as opposed to the 65w.
