Power Consumption: VHO Vs. PC

Does anyone know which would cause a higher spike in my electric bill? I am looking at either a 4 x 55w PC, or a 2 x 110w VHO. Any insight would be appreciated.

FWIW, my 440 watts of VHO seemed to jump my bill by around 5$ a month. Maby less, it's a bit skewed with the air on all the time. Anyway it's not much, the Icecap ballest seems very efficient. HTH

For the purpose of electric bill calculations, watts is watts for the bulbs. 4x55 vs 2x110 is the same thing.

You will consume less electricity if you use electronic ballasts vise tar but you may never recover the extra cost of the electronic ballast over the tar ballast... or at least you'll have to run it many, many years to break even.
