Ok....now the bulbs
I have chosen the retro kit........250 watt electronic...I will be putting in two.
If you don't know, it is a 90 gal, 24" tall.......
just curious on which bulbs to choose....I am thinking 10000k, but who makes better bulbs ?
so many options......this one has probably been the biggest selection headache.....
Thanks again everyone !!!!

If you have actinics I would go with Iwasaki 6500K. If not then Ushio 10,000K.

Thanks rick,
I do not have VHO on this tank, but was thinking to put it on, until Danielle said to go with a higher k bulb and maybe I would not need them.....I do like the look of the actinic blue from the VHO.....but it sounds like I may not need them if I go with the 10000k......
Thank you mucho

Casey,
That is kind of what I was thinking......I really like the look of the VHO 1 actinic blue on my running 90....with 2 50/50 daylight VHO...I just e-mailed Doug at aquatico to get his reccomend.....but I think that is probably what I will go with...
Been up since the end of Jan.....gettin there

the current tank is the beginner tank.....setup recommended by LFS not trying to scare me away by pricing me out.......
His mistake, now I am putting up the second tank and going all the way......will be moving the corals, and make this one FOWLR
He should have just sold me on the good stuff to begin with.....not that this is not a good setup.......but, I am going for the best......
Thanks again to you all !!

It's a personal preference, really. Try to track down some local tanks with different lighting to see what you like. We run the 6500Ks with VHO supplementation and like the combination.
Everyone has their own tastes in spectrum, so it's your call.
