MH bulb positioning?

I am planning on adding a 400w mh bulb to my lighting setup on my 120 RR. It will have 2- 175w & 1-400w halides plus 2-110w VHO actinics. Please help me to find out the best positioning of the mh bulbs. Also if anyone has any opinions on what combination (color and temp) of bulbs I should run.

I think that you should run them in the perpindicular arrangement. As far as color temperature, the great Mojo said this weekend that the best way to go is w/ a combo of 20k and 10k, so maybe a 20k 400w and 2 10k 175's then you probably wouldn't really need the vho actenics

You could put the 400 watt on a track so it moves back and forth. Have you seen the 150 watt iwaski 50,000k bulbs crisp white light with a purple hue, will run on a 175 watt ballast.

FWIW, I'm running a 20,000K Radium & 12,000K Sunburst, both 250W I have the Sunburst over the fore reef, and the Radium over the back reef. I really like the combo. The extra blue of the Radium gives the back reef more visual depth. No actinics.
