MH ballast wiring question

I have a dual 400w PFO ballast and 2 reflectors with sockets. My question is what do I need to connect them. I have enclosed a picture of the setup with a connecter that I believe is the right one. It is from www.pfolighting.com caption reads "Convert old style socket cord to new style ballast"

i will start by saying i do not have a PFO kit, so i could be way off here.

this looks more like what i think you need, just by looking at what you have in the picture.

PFO socket adaptor

this ends with just bare wire, like what you have on your sockets.

i hate not seeing the pictures while posting a reply. what you have could work with very little modification (read cutting the white connector off), or finding the mate to the plug that it came with.

how far away will the lights be from the ballast? i used 16/3 outdoor cable to connect my ballast to the sockets, and they are 10' away.

Thanks for the reply Geoff. I think the PFO socket adapter might be what I need. My question is - Both adapters come with 3 wires, black, white, and green. My sockets have 1- white and 1- black. What is the green wire for? The lights should only be 5 ft away from the ballast at most.

Cut the white molex connector off. black to black, white to white, and green to the reflector.
