Light troubles

I just got a 2X27 watt PC for my tank. I plugged it in and it tripped the breaker. I thought maybe there was a short or something, So I tried it again in another room, the breaker didn't trip. The circuit that the tank is on also has my TV, PC, and Stereo on it. The only thing that was on when I tried this was the pumps, heater, 13 watt PC, and my box, the monitor was off and so was the TV, and Stereo? I tried it a second time with the computer off, everything but the tank was unplugged. I then opened up the light to check for loose wiring, didn't find anything, not a single bare wire, no crossing wires, no scortches, nada...
Any one have any ideas?

Thanks

Edge

maybe the light was already on when you plugged it in, causing an arc over, or the plug was wet with water accidently (u were by your fish tank, right? ) and a a arc occured when plugging it in. not really sure, but if you have some doubts about your electrical wiring in your residence, get an electrician to inspect it. also be careful not to overload your electrical circuit, most wiring in home are in the 10 to 15amp range, with all the electrical stuff (tv, stereo, tank, ect..) you might be over doing it, imho!

Found the problem, the ground wire wasn't completely gronded inside the lamp. Works like a charm now.
