FOWLR lighting?


i have a 38 gallon fowlr. still cycling, just lr and sand in now. i was wondering if i need a certain type of bulb? the one im using now is the one that came with the tank when i first bought it.

I personally like 50/50 bulbs set in the front of the tank to shade out the back of the tank in my FOWLR's....

It depends on how much algae you would like...


I like the 10K bulbs from Coralife myself. Just make sure that your lights are on a timer, even though fish don't react too much to spectrum or intensity (within reason) they do react to the light cycle and so it should be stable.
