Ballast wiring question

Anyone know where there's a good diagram of how to wire a MH ballast?

I need to wire in a second power cable.

Thanks..........

i do not understand what you are asking. do you need to replace the power cord to the ballast? are you extending the cord between the ballast and the bulb?

Right now there is one power cord connected to both ballast. The company botched my order and didnt install the second power cord.
1 power cord per ballast. I wanted this done so I could run each MH lamp independent of the other.

I'm sure it's simple,just have'nt done it before.
Thanks.

this should be real simple. usually the easiest thing to do is open up the case, or the area where the wire comes out, there is usually a strain release there to keep the wires from pulling out. inside there the wires are generally connected with only wire nuts. all of the wires are colour coded black, white, and green. the green will usually be mounted to the metal casing for ground. all you need to do is look on the cable and read the writing on it and get the same stuff from HD. i think on my ballast it was moisture resistant 16/3 wire. get whatever length you need. you will also need to pick up a 3 pronged male wall connector. i like the big ol orange ones. easier to fit the wire in and are secure. wire the black wire to the brass coloured screw, white wire to the silver coloured screw, and the green to the green coloured screw.

hth,
