Tiny Bubbles

HELP!
I have a 60 gal tank with an Aqua-C Remora Pro skimmer and the skimmer continually produces these tiny bubbles. Tank parameters are all acceptable. Add B-Ionic to raise CA levels. After water changes, I expect some bubbles but since I added the Aqua C, they just don't quit. Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi Teri,

Welcome to The Reef Tank. AquaC makes a surface skim box that also has a bubble trap. This should do the trick.

I had similar problems for a long time. Finally, I took out my sump and installed a set of baffles to help rid the system of bubbles. I've seen pics of this setup somewhere, and if I can find them I'll post here again with a link. Baffles are the only thing that helped my problem. Good luck.

Here is one link but the picture doesn't really show you good detail on the baffles.

Also, do a search on this board for baffles and for bubbles. There are several posts about this problem

Alice & RickO
Just wanted you to know, I got the skimmer box from premium aquatics. Put it in the tank and Wa La...No more bubbles! The tank looks better too without the pump hanging in sight. Had to rearrange rock work slightly to make room for it in a corner but now the tank is clear as can be! Thanks for the great advise!
