My berlin skimmer would proudce a good amount of foam in the
riser tube but would break back down before entering the collection cup. The problem was because there was only about a 3/16 gap between the lid and the the riser tube which wouldn't let the foam freely escape.
I used a Dremel and cut another 1/4" off the riser tube increasing the gap to about 7/16". It has been running for about three days with the mod and now the collection cup is full of foam and the run of bottle is about twice as full as before the mod. HTH
