i'm about to put together my sump i bought a glass 20 gallon high tank and i'm going to be putting in the plexy glass baffles . my question is do i use a cement or can i use a silicone sealant to glue them in place . thanks in advance for your time.

Silicone should work fine just be sure to let it cure.

Also make sure it is "aquarium" silicone and not just any old silicone caulk from HD... Some of them contain harmful toxins that are not reef/aquarium safe.

i really don't think that the silicon will hold long term. i would use epoxy. just about any old two part non-metalic epoxy (not jb weld) should be ok.
