Noisy overflow


ok guys this thing roars how do I make it hush up a little???

Casey, what type of overflow were you using before? I bought an All-Glass overflow kit and I'm now nervous I wasted my money. But no one has said wether AG overflow kits produce the loud noises.

Skylock,I also bought one for an all glasstank am not sure what brand it is but it was just to noisy,I built the one that you see in the pic that mouse told me about and it works much better reduced the noise by 80 percent

So you had the AG one in first, how were you able to switch out overflow kits without spilling water? Did you drain the tank?

my stand pipe was threaded on end just unscrewed it and screwed in new one used same threaded adapter it only let about an inch of water go back in the sump was real easy
