Need help with Ultra Float Switch installation

Ok, I wired up an "Ultra Float Switch" to shut my pumps down if the water level in the tank rises above a certain point (if the overflow fails). Iit works great, but now I have another problem.

If the overflow is slightly obstructed, or flowing slowly rather than completely not flowing, the switch will "cycle" switching the pumps on and off relatively rapidly. This isn' t good for the pumps.

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Wonder if you can weigh the float switch with something that would make it less sensitive. Maybe move it down somehow so that it only comes on when the water is really low.

OK I'm not really awake here!

Well. when I've got a toilet that does that or it's one of the huge old 5-gallon tank monsters, I bend the float arm a little so that it is less sensitive and uses less water.

Of course, I've never seen one of the "Ultra Float Switches" so I have no idea if it compares.

I've been up for hours, I can't use that excuse Jerel, LOL

I have one of these for my top-off pump and one for the main pump. I have the main pump float place so the float is just above where my intake in the sump will start sucking air into it. That makes it about 4" below the water level in my sump so it never turns the pump off under normal operation.
