Thanks for your comments. Yeah, it does get a little confusing with all the pipes going everywhere . I really marked them so that if something went wrong and I wasn't around, hopefully my wife could figure it out. Bob

In the same vein, I normally use the heater in my overflow to heat up salt water. I place the bucket beside the tank and just move the heater there. I recently plugged it into an X-10 module, and since I have two heaters, they are HE1 and HE2.
When I make the transfer, I used to unplug the heater, mive it to the bucket, and then plug it back in again. Now, I just go to JAqua and turn it off, then move it and turn it back on again....which I did.
But after turning it on, I noticed it wasnt on even though the water in the bucket was in the 50's. Ahh, it wasnt HE1, it was HE2 that I should have turned off and on. Luckily the heater was off anyway when I made the transfer.
To make a long story short, I added a pop-up comment field to JAqua which displays when you hover the mouse pointer over the device name. Now when I do that over HE2, a window pops up and says "turn this heater off for water changes..stupid". So now I can label all the devices so I know which one's which.
