flexible pvc

anyone have trouble inserting flex pvc into standard fittings? the stuff i bought seems just a hair too big, i can barely force the first 1/4 inch of the hose into the fittings....it just doesn't seem right. is there a trick to this?

I tried two kinds. The Spa Flex brand will fit into schedule 40 fittings. The off brand I tried wouldn't.

hey rick,
did you end up just using purple primer and red hot glue to glue the hose into the fittings? something about the flexhose and the fittings together just doesn't look right...

i sure hope i can get this hose to fit some fittings, it wasn't cheap and i cannot return it.

......plumbing's not my favorite chore

Spa Flex is PVC so you can use PVC primer and cement.
