Anybody running a CSD device

I want to set up a new 20gal using a Carson Surge Device for water movement. I need suggestions on a good ratio of surge holding tank volume compared to display volume. Like a recommendation of how many gals the surge tank should be in relationship to the display size.

A CSD is a surge device that basically dumps in a quantity of what inot your tank. The concept is to mimic a wave flow as it happens in nature.

Hmeworks look in the gallery, I believe that Galleon put up a diagram of a finished model. maybe you could get someinfo from that

A CSD is a overhead holding tank that is filled with water by a pump from the sump tank. When the water level in this surge tank reachs a certain level, then a hydro surge is released into the display simulating real wave action in the display. It is supposedly very healthy for SPSs versus powerhead water movement. Look up Carson Surge Device on yahoo. Lots of article on this implemetation. I know one LFS that has all of their tanks plumbed this way and one friend is doing his 300 gal this way.
