Zoo's regrowing from matt..

I recently had a small 10 polyp frag of zoos close up and never open back up. It's been about 2 weeks...

Everything else is fine in the tank. It is a 3 year old tank...
Parameters are ok.

I noticed alot of bigger pods messing with the frag at night. (eating dying tissue) but they have stoped (Maybe they ate the bad parts?)

Anyways all that is left is the mat and little white bumps where the zoos used to be... It's like they shut, fused up, and died inside themselves..

Anyways is there any chance the matt could regrow the zoos?

Im not sure but it doesnt sound good. Zoos are finicky sometimes and can stay closed for weeks when stressed or irritated, but it sounds like they are more than just simply closed in your case. Do you have other zoas?? If so go check them out in the middle of the night and make sure you dont have any sundial snails.

Yep I have tons of zoos that are doing great!
The pods only seem to pick on this frag.. or did. they stoped for some reason.

Do a check at night for sundials. They can slowly eat off large colonies without being noticed for some time, but their damage is much more noticable on a colony of only ten that they found especially tempting.........
