Question

Zoas/mushroom lighting questiong!

i am going to replace all the bulbs on Nikki's tank. am wondering what mix would look best. this is on a FOWLR/zoas/mushroom system. what i am thinking: for the 75 which has 6 NO bulbs. 3 actinics and 3 10K's. for the 20 which has 4 NO bulbs 2 actinics and 2 10k's. she likes the flourescence of the zoas and shrooms.

would this be a good mix, should i use 20K's, all 50/50's?

thanks,

G~

I use 2 actinics and 2 50/50's on my 37G right now. It's actually too pink for my tastes. I'll be switching the 50/50's to 10K's next time the bulbs are due to be replaced

a lot really has to do with the lighting. the higher the K rating, the more ultraviolet the light hitting the corals the more they "pop". you probably need to add more actinic lighting.
