My brain coral that came in on a piece of LR seems to be doing good. He's starting to look better every day.

that's ok, I like them a lot. If thwey split anough and grow enough I'll have ones to take to the next ARC meeting that I can make it to. I also would love to put some of them in the refugium when It's up and running.

It's actually Xenia. Zenia is the name for a type of annual flower from your garden.
Good luck with your corals!

That's sweeeet! My xenia split just like yours last week and they're slowly "walking" across the tank! I guess they weren't happy where I put them.

The only thing mine have done other than split is to slowly make their way higher up the LR towards the lights. The small piece of LR they were on is slightly lower and to the left of where they are in the pic, maybe 2 inches away.

Be very very very careful and dont let your tank get like mine with the xenia everywhere. I am planning on ripping it all out of my tank here within the next week or 2. I'm going to toss it in it's own tank and just let it sit.

I do like it but not enough to let it take over. I'll move excess to the refugium and also trade/sell it to the LFS or over Ebay or even give it to ARC club members at one of the meetings if it gets that out of control. lol I'm sure I can find ways to get rid of it.

I thought so too, but it just grew too fast and took over. I'm scared it will be growing on my head one morning when I wake up. AHHHHHHHH!!!!
