Randy, She is starting to get in to it. I keep having to slow her down. Turned out that the old light is ok. I think the timer popped the on/off switch. Oh well, I guess I'll have a backup, the new T5 should be there when I get home.
Water test last night. Amonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 5, ph 8.5. Looks as though the macro in the fuge is doing it's job.

Got the new light in... WOW!! you definately see a difference between the two sides. The new light is a 36" 4X39W Current Nova Extreme T5 w/moon LEDs ($193 delivered).
Here's a pic of the sump change... added the cross brace. It's just a length of PVC from the front of the fuge to the front of the bubble trap to keep from bowing out. Also added another piece of PCV under the fuge at the front.

Timers are in and all seems to be working now. We've got storms today... we'll see if the overflow continues to work if the power goes out.

Unplug your pump. Simple power failure simulation. Would you rather find out about a problem while you can turn the power back on yourself or find out when the power failure actually happens and you can't turn it back on to stop the failure until you fix it?

I've done many 'dry' runs all seems to work good without any problem.

Power didn't go off, but I've started turning the pump off for feeding.
Latest update... Added a Yellow Tang, a softy and a leather. The softy was called a 'Clove'? and don't remember the leather. I'll look around to see if I can find some better names.
