yellow tangs

in a 180, how many can you keep? I was wanting 2, but I am not sure if that is ok or not. I know they can be territorial, and I have seen different places that say one or six or more, or, one or three or more, and i know that in nature they can be found in pairs, so, is two ok?

What other fish do you have or plan on keeping? I have seen 2 tangs before in a 180 and they seemed to have room to move.

Jason, given that your shark woudl be in there , i would say no more then 3.

i woudl make sure everything wouodl be okay withthe bio load. ( meaning i dont know how much poop a shark can make).. one thing that might be a problem. Tangs are great for getting Ich. there is the possiblity that they will get sick once the shark is in there...

how is that going anyway? how soon before you get him?

well, not as soon as I thought. I am havng lighting problems. my VHO's were working great, and then they didn't come on any more. I have checked the bulbs, and they are fine, so i am sending my ballast in today, and hopefully that will fix the problem, but who knows. maybe a few weeks.

two tangs has and can be done but could also be problematic unless you do it properly, one larger one smaller.
