Yellow tang sick?

I have a Yellow Mimic Tang. He was my first fish, he has been in there since march. Three weeks ago I converted to BB. Afew days later I noticed what looked like ick. I gave him some garlic on his Nori and in a day or two he looked better. Yester day I noticed that he was not pout as much. He is the King of the tank and usually is all over the place. last night he was in the rock work and barely came out to eat but he did eat. Today I noticed he was breathing very very rapidly. he is still eating (not as much) and seem a bit lathargic. All tank parameters a fine did water change (5g) last night. I do 5g every week. Any ideas?

yeah tank parameters and fwiw when I moved over from my 60 to my 125 my tang acted up for a couple weeks acting sluggish, hiding in the rocks and even spitting out food. Now he is eating again and swimming around happy, I figured the stress was just alot for him and he had to get used to his new surroundings. Maybe just keeping up a quality food regiment and good water quality can help your guy out, and maybe he is just getting used to the new tank setup.
