Yellow Tang Problem

No the tang doesnt have ich or HLLE. But the problem is i think this tang is way to smart. I have had him for about 1-1.5 year(s) but the tank is near the kitchen so when I walk by he zips to the end of the tank and knows that I am going to the refrigerator.

I know he knows that the frozen food preporation is in the freezer and will watch patiently from the end of the tank. I feed him a mixture of vegetables nori, broccoli, seaweed, brine shrimp, mysis, plankton, and this product I got from the GNC store which is this vegetable powder of all sorts of hawaiian algae, kelp, nori, and other types of algaes(all natural ingredeants from the sea ) i tried to look it up on the GNC website but could not get the link.

But I figured I would share my story with everyone sorry for making this post so long. But it is just kind of wierd having this fish watch over me like jack nicholson in the shining ready to come through the tank with an ax or something .

My blue one used to do that to me, I would scoop water out of the tank in a measuring cup to defrost the food and he would know that it was feeding time.

I used to feed Formula 2 flake and I could move the jar around in front of the tank and the yellow Tang would follow it religiously. Now, he just waits at the glass at 7:15 pm to see what he's getting.

My clown fish recognizes the Formula 2 jar as well.

I just think it is funny who they recognize some sort object like a cup or arm or whatever it may be .

I Love this thread! All of my fish do that when I come over to feed the tank.

I guess I am not seeing things. To bad i can get my brittle star to come out during the day swim up to my hand some how. I would like to see him once and a while maybe hand feed him. LOL

Boy, your tang gets a 5 course meal. Yes, all my fish recognize the flake container when I get it out.

I think you are all very fortunate! My fish will all hide in the rocks when I approch the glass, I think that somthing or someone might stand and stare at them, or touch the glass when Iam at work!!!
