yellow tang and dry seaweed question?

i got a pack of those seaweed strips...........i put one in about an hour before the light turned off.........its still in there .........of coarse no one is touching it now..............can i leave it in or is that bad?

is it end of the world if you leave it in, no. i'm sure something will munch on it once it disintegrates and disperses around the tank. does it serve a purpose to leave it in... no. it won't be there in the morning, as it will fall apart, and is just adding unnecessary nutrients to the tank.

again, not a big deal, but i'd take it out if it was my tank.

dont leave it in there to long after it disindergrates it goes around the tank. i did that before then i moved one of my LR and saw little piece fly all around the tank and that was about 1 week after i had put it in there so it give off nutrients and will mess up you parameter in the run

Try to put it in when the lights first come on it may take a while before he hits it but once he does it will be gone in a flash.
