yellow sea whip and purple plume gorgonian care?

are both of these easy to care for? i mean would i have to feed them or would they filter feed and rely on photosynthesis?

without pics i am only guessing by your colour description.

the yellow is prolly predatory and needs to be fed in order to survive. sometimes they can only be fed at night. look to see when the polyps are out.

the purple could very well be photosynthetic. if so, these are fairly easy. as long as you have moderate lighting. i have 2 large purple ones that grow pretty well.

if you can find pics of the corals we can give you more info.

Do either of them look like these?? Both are photosynthetic and good choices. "whip" and "plume" are also common names for both of them

they both really look like the one in the pic that showed up. they are from the caribean and florida coast and really just look like little trees...except one is purple and one is yellow, actually not yellow, just tannish colored. i show you but cant post pics or post links for some reason....this forum won't let me paste anything????

Im not sure to be honest if those are photosynthetic or not.......

That purple one of mine i posted has really thin branches....all the way to the base......a lot thinner than either of those.....

That brown/yellow one looks as though its got kind of triangular shape to the branches.......if it does.....its more like the one i linked.......it has kind of triangular branches as well
