xenias on plugs.. how can i transfer them to rock?

Hey all.. with my nano tank build underway, i decided to pick up some xenias from my local shop. he gave them to me on plugs he had pressed in the ground.. i'm thinking about transferring them to my live rock. how would I go about this if I decide to? would they spread all over the rock?

btw, i paid $10 for 2 plugs of xenia.. is that an ok price?

If you can I would just keep them close to a rock and let them spread and keep the one on the frag plug so you can trade it with a friend or sell it. They grow quick so it shouldn't take too long. If not you can just use a razor to scrape it from the plug and mount it to a little piece of rubble. The price is good!

one more thing.. I was noticing my power head moves my 10g around like crazy, to the point where anything living stays out of it's path. I have a large waterfall style filter on the back of the tank that moves water pretty good. should I just keep the power head off until I upgrade to a bigger tank?

the power head moved my 30g tank around pretty good.. any suggestions? the Nano is doing pretty good. i'm pleased with it even with the lack of maintenance i'm been guilty of.

as mentioned kep them next to a rock, making sure they are touching the rock under flow (med to hvy) and they will respond like you wouldnt believe, they are a problem in my tank...

I wedged my plugs into a hole in the rock and it moved off.
