Xenia

Hi all,

Just a couple of questions.

Do Xenias sting?

&

Can two different types of Xenia touch eachother in the tank without any issue???

No, I handle xenia all the time and they do not sting, but they stink if you take them out of the water, your hands will smell for days!

They will argue over the same territory and one will eventually take over the other.

Hope this helps

I agree, they don't really sting, but brushing other corals will irratate the other corals, plus they walk and smother other corals that are in their way.

No sting, just invasive....kinda like creeping charlie in your lawn! Oh and stink...nothing like the smell of irritated xenia. I got a small pail of it from a fellow reefer, and even in the tank for two days it REEKED!
