Worms

i have a 29gal reef set up which i have had for a year now and my worms seem to have come out of no where this summer... what can i do to get rid of them??? they have already killed my cleaner shrimp.

A few questions:

What type of worms? If no scientific name can you give a description?

Also are you positive the worms are the killer?

If you are refering to bristle worms. THese are beneficial to your tank and your sandbed, they break down waste into its next state to be collected and decomposed by the pods and other such creatures in the sandbed.

Some of these answered will help some of the more knowledgable people answer your question a bit more easily.

I concur with what balakloth said. Most worms are beneficial and not predatory, however they will clean up after somebody dies.
