woo hoo ROYAL GRAMMA
Okay I'm pumped
Since cycling my tank I've been wanting to add one of these fish. But I hadn't seen them at the LFS since.
Well I was at the LFS today and there where 2 in. Both ate like pigs and are big and fat. They looked great.
I told them to hang on to one and that I'd pick it up tomorrow or saturday.
Maybe these fish aren't rare to most of you but they don't come by here often!
I'm excited!
maybe they are seasonal here and they'll be in every order for the next few months. But either way, it doesn't matter, I'll have mine.
I'll try to get a pic of him after I pick him up!
just felt like sharing my excitement!

We have one and he is just a sweetheart of a fish. Good to hear!!!!
Our guy is on the passive side but not enough to get picked on.

Okay he's in the tank.
I turned out the lights to let him get settled. My wrasse and him so far have not shown any aggression! neither has anyone else.
The gramma is the biggest fish in there so that might help nobody messing with him.
Pics will come
hopefully I can manage someting not too blurry!

My royal gramma got harassed by my purple tang...I added them both at the same time...I think it was because both had yellow tails...my clownfish and the tang get along fine. The royal gramma I think got too stressed to live with the tang, and unfortunately kicked the bucket

well he's in there now living with the 4line wrasse, oscie clown and scooter.
So far so good
he ate well
when I first put him in he was biting the glass but that seemed to stop.
I guess he could see his reflection or something!
the wrasse goes to check him out but neither try anything.
He also doesn't mind cleaner shrimp.
My other fish take off from them but he let them pic some stuff off him?
he's being good so far!

congrads..
royal gramma if i remeber right are part of the basslett famliy, so not too many will bother him. if so he should open his mouth ( very wide!) and many even take a bite.
they will eat just about anything. i usally feed pellets and mine will eat them up. also frozen food ( just about any)..
congrads on the new guys!..
talk to your LFS, they may be able order what you want in just by asking. the one i use will do that for just about anything including corals.order monday in by friday..

Just a beautiful looking fish - too bad they won't get along with a Bi-color psudochromis. Wife like the plsudo and I would prefer the gramma Oh well

I like the gramma better too.
Mine swims around the tank a bit but he likes his caves and overhangs for sure!
