window screen in a aquarium?


this jest sounds wrong. i dont know if it will react to everything else.but it is called out for in natural reef aquariums by john tullock.my lr and ls is on its way,its almost to late to change anything. how does everyone fell about this.

I think the stuff that Tullock is talking about is either fiberglass screen or a plastic window screen. This is for a plenum, correct? If you use the metal window screen, I think it would rust and break down and just cause problems.

I used the vinyl (? I think) window screening on the plenum in my 55; looked the same the day I took it out as the day I put it in.

Most window screening sold these days is fiberglass or aluminum. Obviously, fiberglass screening is the one you want to use and should cause no harm at all to your tank.
