Will the poor little fella survive?
I was trying to move my clowns around yesterday to make room for more Elegance corals. My little male ocellaris didn't want to go to his new home. While trying to avoid capture, he swam into the carpet anemone. Before I could do anything the carpet had him wrapped up completely. I couldn't even see him. I pulled the folds of the carpet open and removed the little guy from the clutch of death. It was like pulling Velcro apart. Then I scraped as many of the green tentacles off of him, and me, as I could. He's in the tank with his girlfriend now. This is what he looked like last night. I've never seen a fish survive after sustaining this many stings. Hopefully he's still kicking when the lights come on.

He's a tough little guy. Last night he was swimming like a fish on its last fin. This morning he's dragging streamers around behind him, but otherwise seems fine.

The nem freaked out and took off under the sand. It's probably not good for them to be losing tentacles like that, but I believe he'll be fine. The skin on my hands is pretty tough, so I'll be fine as well. I get stung by anemones and Elegance corals, on the hands, all the time, with no problems. It's when they get me on the inside of my forearm that it's no fun.

Thanks! It must have worked, because he seems like his normal self now.

He doesn't have an anemone in his new tank. Hopefully he can't get in to much trouble now. All he has with him is his girlfriend and some rocks.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

Thanks yawl! He lost the streamers of slim from this morning, but now he's pooing a long white strand. He NEVER does this. I guess his belly is a little upset from all the venom that was pumped into his system. He has spent most of the morning hiding in the rocks. Other than that, he looks pretty good. I'm sure he'll make a full recovery once he has had some time to rest.
