will rock cook in the main tank?

I know there's been a lot of threads lately...but i have on specific question.
Since i have most of my rock cooking, do i have to cook the reamaing rock in the tank or will that work it's way out over time.

None of it is growing any new algae...if anything all the HA is turning brown and easily pulls off the rocks.

I didn't want to take all of my biological filtration out, right?

So should i take out the remaining rock when the other rock is finished cooking?

I know one rock has to go back in for another round of cooking..it's growing HA while all the other stuff is dying.

as long as the LR is suspended above the substrate and you siphon out all of the detritus once a week, than the bacteria will cook the LR in the tank.

the problem is when detritus is allowed to settle on the LR/substrate. the phosphates will wick their way up into the LR allowing HA to take hold all over the LR.
