Will Fins Heal?

I just got a Randal's Goby and I put it in my 24 gallon with a orchid dottyback and came back five minutes later and the orchid already took two chunks out of its beutiful dorsal fin. I figured since they dont compete for space and arent anything alike it would be ok. Will this heal and how long will it take? I was able to coax the gobie into my pistol shrimps cave, will the dotty back eventually get used to the gobie?

Fins can heal but dottie backs are pretty aggressive fish I think

I dont know about those fish but in my freshwater tank fins can heal up in a week or so if conditions are right and nutrition is good.

It may be a whole month before they look as nice as they did when you first got the fish. Just keep up on the water quality and keeping the levels stable and your fish will be fine.

Yes dotty backs can hold their own and they can be mean.
