why would a shroom detach?

last night i saw a shroom floating around! i grabbed it and put it in my frag tank! this is the rock it came from. will they detach because from the rock because it has too many on it and they are getting too big for the rock?

many reasons. did not like the light there. current was not to its liking. looking at the rock the most probable cause is overcrowding. it could not open enough to get food, so it left the cluster and is hoping to find a clear LR to call home.

this is an older picture too. the "babbies" are getting much bigger too! you really cant see the rock that much. would it be a good idea to frag a few more?

yup,
you can either slice off a few and let them go in to your Nano tank. or place a few pieces of Live rock rubble under a few of them so they will grow on to it
