More light! As many tubes as you can fit!

Well, I just looked at a thread started by whiskey that asked about some sps turning a light brown/tan color and they concluded that the corals were getting too much light! Well, my frags are turning a very light tan color as well - not a dark brown. Is it possible that I'm getting too much light on my frags. They are located just under the surface of the water under the VHO lamps.

I don't mind adding another VHO bulb to the hood, but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing for my coral buddies.

I dont think too much would be the issue.

I think too MUCH light would result in bleaching, NOT an overabundance of zooxanthella (which is what makes corals turn brown).

But I could be wrong.

I took a closer look at my first monti cap and I think that it may be bleaching. The edges are white and the body of it is turning very light tan, and I feel like it's whiter than it was last week. My cam is broken so I can't post a pic. None of my frags are a dark brown, they are all light tan.

OK, maybe this will help. These are pics of the monti cap before and after.

This is the after, a different angle. Notice how it looks really light colored - is this bleaching?

This is another frag that I have. It used to be a nice bright green, it is now tan colored.

Tanks been up almost 3 months - yes, I know it's a young tank. The thing that gets me is that it's actively encrusting the base, which I wouldn't think it would do if it was doing poorly.
