Why are my clowns doin this?

I've set up my Aquapod with lots of live rock, 20 lb sand, big clean up crew, Hydor on the return, maxi 12 in the back compartment, aquaclear 30 behind the rocks. My two clowns seem to spend all day hangin out next to the Hydor - many times they will turn sideways or vertical.

Parameters right now -

77.9*
Amm: o
nitrite: 0
nitrate:0
pH: 8.2

My snails, hermits, and pumping xenia are all happy as ever, but the clowns seem like they're not too happy. They're eating also.

Any ideas?

my friend has a clown that did that for months. it took time but, it eventually went to an anemone. did the place that you got them from have an anemone for them? sometimes they don't and think that the flow heads are what they should host in.

No there was no anemone at the store... They're kinda just hosting like...around the flow head. Is that the same?

Mine does the same thing. If its not back in its cave it snuggles up to the filter grid. I had an anemone but when I got it I didn't have good enough lighting so I gave him to someone who did. I hoped the clown would take to the torch but so far has made its home in the cave.
