Who's water changing today?

It's Sunday, and i know I'm not the only one in the reef world that has to do my weekly WC today...

Who else is a weekend water change warrior?

oh happy day...b/c I'm looking outside and in the Northeast...It's Nice Today...no Wind!

good idea with the LFS hydrometer, I think I'll do that too, as I've been pushing off the idea of ordering a refrato.

And Josh, are you at school.

How do you do all that stuff living in a dorm?

Oh, I forgot to mention I'm cooking about 60lbs of rock...maybe that's why I'm not a happy camper today.

That's a lot of water.

I just mixed a batch - not sure if it'll be ready or not.

I'd have some on hand but I contaminated it with tank water (siphoned back) when my phone rang so a fresh batch was started.

Gotta get that detritus out.

LI- I bought myself a 5g painters bucket and i just borrow my roomates brita filter and i go to the side bathroom that is on the floor where there is just a tub and a sink(nobody really uses it at all) i fill the bucket up thru the filter and then mx the salt in the bathroom(every once and a while i buy already made water if im lazy) i usally get the temp right by just mixing hot and cold water till its right then i take this lid that my test kit came with and i just run back and forth dumping out water till its down to the right amount and then just put the water right in its fairly asy(just get some weird looks while goin bak and forth between my room and the water fountain dumpin out the water)

Very Funny...Sound like you have it down to a science.
I just pictured some kid setting up an RO/DI filter in the mens room and filling rubbermaid totes with water...aging it...etc.

Your way sounds much easier.

I used to have a key to the biology building and I would go in late at night with 2 x 5 gallon buckets to fill up form the glass distiller. I would drain pretty much the whole thing and come back in the next day for work study and it still wouldn't have filled up again. He he he...
