i think i need to buy a TDS meter know anywere good were i can get one?

im starting to get brown diatom blooms on my sand. and i think my rodi/ filter is going bad. i have had the unit for 5 months and i only make 15gallons every week so ~20weeks * ~15gallons = ~300gallons do you think any of the filters have gone bad yet?

to recap my unit its a 6 stage 150-gpd unit, 2 di filters

I use the dual TDS meter from airwaterice.. simple, easy and cheap

Your DI resin has probably exhausted, it's probably due for filters and DI resin. I'm not sure of the water quality in CT, but your incoming tap TDS has alot to do with the length of time that the filters and resin last.

well the next thing on my shopping list us a tds meter. the di resin still looks good. it hasent changed color yet only like about a cm in the 1st di filter it has turned a dark brown black color but the rest looks the same as the day i got it.
