Wholesale price?
I'm getting ready to trade in 3 of my fish to my Lfs for store credit. The fish are a flame angel, coral beauty angel, and a foxface. All are about 3", except the flame, which is 2". The dealer said he would buy them at "wholesale" value. I bought the flame for 60$(which I hear is a ripoff) and the other two for 40$ from another Lfs. How low should I go before I decide that I should go for another option. How low do Lfs's typically "buy" fish? Any input welcome, thanks!

A few of the LFS in this area will give 50% of what they would normally charge for the same fish. Thats about the best deal you can get in this area as far as trading it in at a LFS.

Some stores don't take anything back, period.
Some stores will take it back. Take is the operative word (IOW, they "give" nothing back. IE: "I will "take" unwanted stuff that nobody else will take in, but I don't "give" for it if I didn't sell it in the first place."
Average that I've seen in my hobbyist lifetime, is about 1/3 of the selling price. Dealers do this as a courtesy - why should they "buy" a fish from you, when they can get it from a wholesaler more cheaply? It is done as a courtesy.
BTW $60 for a flame angel is about average. I've seen them on "sale" for $29 once a year at a local shop (annual special!), but they usually run $49-75 around here, that I've seen. It also depends where the flame is from. Hawaii and Marshall flames are usually a bit more expensive.
I think the stores are offering you fair credit, based on my own experience.

Well, I got 51.33$ for all of them, I spent 140$, so its about a third. I little less than I hoped, but about just what I expected!
