Erin,
Go to Sombrero Reef - Amazing snorkeling off Marathon. Another great place is Coffin's Patch.

There about as far from each other as you can get and still be in Florida. But what the heck, extend the trip another week and go visi both of them anyway.
There are underwater disposable cameras but I wouldn't exactly say they are good. If you stay shallow you should get some decent pics with them.

hopefully jerel and casey will see this and tell me where theyre at! I will probably go snorkeling cuz I cant dive because I am pregnant. I was even planning on becoming dive certified in the near future, but that will now wait till after the baby's a year old probably.
Its beautiful here and im not sure i want to go home! ha ha. Melissa, where is Coffin's Patch?

It's off Marathon as well. They are both beautiful and lots of snorkeling excursions will take you to either or both.
The attached photo was taken by my brother with a disposable camera in Coffin's Patch. Coffin's Patch is actually a large protected section of reef, but there are some sections with no reef at all. There is a mooring point called The Stake in the middle of Coffin's Patch where you'll see a big wood stake sticking out of the water. That's were you want to go.

If you're looking for pretty beaches and not neccessarily a snorkeling spot you can't beat the beaches of the panhandle. The sand is sugar white.

Hi creepy,
Annes Beach is little more then a parking lot with a sandy beach. Cool place to take pics and collect snails and crabs at low tide. I've done a lot of fishing there in the flats, maybe 3-4 times a week when I'm there and cought many small sharks in hip deep water off that beach. It's best to go there during the week when you can have the place to yourself.
I think there is a better beach for swimming south called Bahina Honda or something like that. It's more of a beach type thing then Anne's.
As far as what to see, I really don't do the tourist things, mostly fish. Spend one day in Key West and try to be in Mallory Square an hour or so before sun down. Lots of street performers doing there thing. Watching the sun set at Mallory Square is a favorite.

HEY HEY HEY LOL
No one told me about this Missie!
I'm about 35 miles north of you. All great advise. Just hang out and ask anyone you run into "what's to do". They all know. One thing for sure, drive down to Big Pine and see the Keys deer. You have to go over to "No-name Key" to get real close to them though. Don't try to bring one home.
The dive shops sell the better disposable cameras, call around and ask. Last time I was in Publix they had them too.
