White spots on the GLASS?

Just to start, and to be very clear, these are on the inside of the aquarium glass NOT on the fish or inverts.

It looks like someone has tossed fake snow all over the inside of the glass.
Looking at them more closely or with a magnifying glass, and they look like tiny white spirals.

As far as I've seen they don't seem to move at all, and if one runs a finger over where they are, it feels rather smooth/slippery.

Any ideas as to what on earth this is?

Water params are all just fine; it's tested every third day or so and shows no issues.

Little tube worms, Like small feather dusters, Not to worry about, You will get plenty if You have overfolw/s and in the sump. Little filter feeder. Just clean off front glass and sides

How odd.
If the little buggers would move back onto the LR they could stay.
Where they are, they make the tank look awful.

Then just clean them off. You may have to scrap them off, You will have them on the live rock and places you don't see in the tank,

I have tons of those they tend to stay towards the back and in the shadows in my tank I do end up scraping some off the sides though

really? I kinda like them! haha

they're all over the back of my mantis tank...and if your looking at something else in the tank (not direcly at them), it really looks like your looking at something in space, with a field of stars in the background.

(then again, I did my share of drugs in college, so maybe I'm having flashbacks! hahaha)

anyways...ditto on the ID. And I've found that after a scrape or two off the front/side panels, they tend to not grow there as much afterwards. They seem to stay mainly on the back pane.
